Public Fruit is a mapping of all the public fruit in our neighborhood. Public fruit is all fruit on or overhanging public spaces such as sidewalks, streets or parking lots.
Fruit is a resource that should be commonly shared, like shells from the beach or mushrooms from the forest.
Corner of Hamilton and Miami (across from Stefanos) is a small public space with a number of Kaffir Limes and a large Olive tree. The leaves of the Kaffir lime are widely used in Thai cuisine and apparently the oil from the rind also has strong insecticidal properties - which could be useful around here. The olive tree is large and prolific and seems to be cleansed of fruit by some enterprising soul at the appropriate time.
Guerilla Garden - appeared on Mitchell Road where the new wetland is being created (after Hooks Lane on the right). Beans, swedes, and other marrows abound. Help yourself but don't be greedy.
Apparenty there are some chilli pepper plants in front of the council buildings ... need to confirm this.
