The Ostend Market happens every Saturday and volunteers run a stall there to share the abundance from their gardens. It is always a delight to start a day with an empty table and watch the produce flow in and out through the morning.

At times the table overflows and at others it is a modest display, but there is always something. The community garden is often able to supply some vegetables and or fruits.

People who come to take from the table are encouraged to exchange or offer some koha, which inn turn goes to support the community garden, which is adjacent to the market.
