2017 is the year of the 10th anniversary of Waihekepedia. The Main Page was created on July 24st 2007 and the first content article was Matiatia on Ausugst 16th 2007. The 500th_Page was created in 2008.
The Wiki was almost abandoned in 2014 when Wolfgang tried a Revival which was more a technical move at the time.
