Chris Bailey is an established stone sculptor living on Waiheke. He is of Ngati Hako, Ngati Porou, Te Aupouri and Irish descent.

He is known for his carved timber totems that talk of the traditional Maori history of Waiheke and his monumental basalt stone sculpture that draw on his heritage for inspiration.

Featured in several books on leading contemporary Maori artists, Chris also exhibits regularly both internationally and nationally.
