Jan Nigro (born Betty Aislabie in 1920) is a significant New Zealand artist who first moved to Waiheke in 1969. As recently as 2008, she exhibited at the Waiheke Community Art Gallery in Denis O'Connor and Friends. An extensive biography and examples of her paintings can be found here.
