The Jassy Dean Trust is a small voluntary organisation that provides help to families on Waiheke Island whose children require assistance caused through accident or illness. The trust was formed in 1992 shortly after local teenager Jassy Dean died of meningitis. Chairman of the trust is islander and Jassy's dad, Greg Dean.
Each year in Spring the trust runs the Jassy Dean Trust Garden Safari, a fundraising tour of some of the island's most wonderful gardens. This year's dates: Saturday 10th November and Sunday 11th November 2007 10.00am – 4.30pm
