Passage Rock Vineyard is located at the eastern end of Waiheke Island, not far from Orapiu at the head of Te Matuku Bay. It is owned by David and Veronika Evans-Gander. Its first vines were planted in 1994.

The vineyard is named after the island at the southern entrance to the Waiheke Channel.
