Susi Newborn is a longstanding activist and human rights campaigner whose involvement with Greenpeace goes back to the purchase of the original Rainbow Warrior in 1977.

She is the author of a book about her life called A Bonfire in My Mouth.

For some years she was Oxfam NZ's climate change campaign co-ordinator.

In 2010 she became chief executive of Women in Film and Television NZ.
