The Noises are a small group of islands to the north of Waiheke Island and to the north-east of Rakino Island. While there are a number small islands and rocks, including the appropriated shaped Haystack, the three largest are Otata Island, Motuhoropapa Island and Orarapa Island.
Rats were eradicated on the island in the 19802.
The islands, which are uninhabited and privately owned, are popular with fishermen and divers.
