The Round Waiheke Race

The Round Waiheke Race is an annual event held in autumn by the Waiheke Boating Club. One of the club's major events, the yacht race is open to allcomers. A green or red flag flying on the Kennedy Point wharf at the start line indicates whether the island is to be left to starboard or port.
The start to the 2008 race was pretty much a windless affair
