On May 31 2000, in heavy fog, Quickcat II and Quickcat collided near Bean Rock, causing superficial damage to both vessels. The Maritime Safety Authority [1] both vessels were travelling too fast for the conditions and poor communication took place and the rules of navigation were not followed.
