The most important thing to remember about wikis is that they're mostly about community, not web pages - and sustaining community in these things is really the trick. Involved in more wikis than I care to think about ...

I'm very interested in this community project and have thought about doing something similar for some time now. I've been working on wikis for a long time and am currently on the Board of Advisors for a large wiki called WikiEducator which aims at developing Open Educational Resources.
