-I've been working on wikis for a long time; I am currently on the Board of Advisors for a large wiki called [http://www.wikieducator.org WikiEducator] that is working towards building capacity around the MediaWiki platform (the software that runs this site as well as Wikipedia) for developing Open Educational Resources. I designed part of the WikiEducator front page, community portal page, help page, and introductory -[http://www.wikieducator.org/Wikieducator_Tutorials wiki tutorials]. I also do a bit with the Wikiversity community, here: http://en.wikiversity.org/ a project sponsored by the Wikimedia foundation.
-Earlier this year I attended the [http://www.wikieducator.org/Tectonic_shift_think_tank Techtonic Shift Think Tank] in Vancouver, a meeting between MediaWiki developers and educators from all over the world to look at how to move the MediaWiki platform forward for the betterment of educators and students worldwide.
