For anyone who would like to learn and speak French and to enjoy the culture and traditions of La Belle France, you are cordially invited to join the Waiheke French Club.

We meet once a month on the second Monday of each month at 10am in the Morra Hall small rear room. On the first Monday of each month there is a French movie (with English sub-titles) at the cinema at Artworks in Oneroa at 7.30pm. The Club presently comprises two lesson groups: Intermediate and Advanced students.

Also the Club has many special events such as petanque competitions. The club members also produce and act in plays, visits to the Opera in Auckland, Diner Beaujolais etc. etc.

Last Petanque Competition: The last competition took place on 9th November in Oneroa. It involved teams from our Club and also teams from Alliance Francaise of Auckland and Northshore. Fortunately, one of our teams won - 'fortunately', because the cup is STILL in restoration.....

Next Play: An enactment of Marcel Pagnol's 'Topaze', at Onetangi on 9th December which should be a lot of fun.

If you want more information on any of our activities please contact Danielle on 372 6109 or Julie 372 6466.
