It grew over the years until Fairfax Media bought it from publisher Jo Holmes in August 2008 to add to its stable of Suburban Newspapers. |

Waiheke Marketplace is a community newspaper published every Wednesday, and delivered to Waiheke homes. It is also distributed on the ferries, in Downtown Auckland and at island businesses and tourism outlets. It has a Property Lifestyle pullout section and, along with the news, does regular features on summer events, festivals and anything else happening on Waiheke Island.
