Waihekepedia aims to be an online knowledge repository for all things about Waiheke Island, an island of 8000 permanent residents in the Hauraki Gulf, New Zealand. We'd like to be an encyclopedia about our lovely island that compiles and makes available reliable information on things including:
Waihekepedia is free to use and free to join. To become a contributor, all you need is a valid email address and a desire to be part of something new and fun. Everyone on Waiheke has a unique relationship with the island and knows stuff about it others don't. If we each contribute that knowledge we will soon have a unique and empowering resource.
