Public Fruit is a mapping of all the public fruit in our neighborhood. Public fruit is all fruit on or overhanging public spaces such as sidewalks, streets or parking lots.
Fruit is a resource that should be commonly shared, like shells from the beach or mushrooms from the forest.
Surfdale
Corner of Hamilton and Miami (across from Stefanos) is a small public space with a number of Kaffir Limes and a large Olive tree. The leaves of the Kaffir lime are widely used in Thai cuisine and apparently the oil from the rind also has strong insecticidal properties - which could be useful around here.
