The Waiheke Week's shareholders include former National Party president Michelle Boag, her husband and the paper's publisher Mervyn Bennett and managing director of Mainfreight NZ and owner of the Pie Melon Bay property Bruce Plesteid.
The paper's editor is long-term resident Heather Wright.
