The sign on the front of the store reads:
1950 - 1980 Merv & Betty Crocker worked here. Merv was a member of the NZ armed forces from 1940 - 1945 Merv and Betty Crocker served the Waiheke community from this site from 1950 to 1980 by building and running a general store nicknamed the "one stop shop" Jack Morris took over the store in 1980 before selling it to Kevin and Paddy Martin.
The current owners have turned it into a self contained apartment.
