Waiheke High School grew out of the Waiheke Area School and is situated in Surfdale on Donald Bruce Road. These days it caters for students from Year 7 to Year 13. Its current principal is Neil Watson. Waiheke High School teaches a range of subjects, including languages and various options. It has a school uniform introduced in the early 2000s after long and often bitter debates.
