A flax-loving bird, the tui (Prosthemadera novaeseelandiae) / Wikipedia entry for the TUI is seen all around Waiheke. A member of the honeyeater family, it is known as the Parson Bird in English because of the white "collar" underneath its chin. A tui's song is variable and different for each bird.
