The primary purpose of all editors working on the Waihekepedia project must be to increase the site's online verifiable knowledge base about Waiheke Island. To this end, editors must contribute in what is known as a neutral point of view. You might also describe this as writing in a "objective voice", though more and more these days objectivity is seen as an impossible ideal. What is important, however, is that editors do not advance the interests of any person or organisation over and above the primary purpose of the site, as described above. The best way to achieve this is to keep to the facts. So, for example, Waiheke cannot be described as the most beautiful island in the world. Millions would disagree. But it can be described in factual terms: how long it is, how many people live there, how many people commute to Auckland, the nature of the popular northern beaches, the history of the Waiheke Community Theatre etc etc. All this is much more useful to people wanting to know stuff about the island than how beautiful one editor might think it is.
