Cable Bay Vineyards [[1]] has been developed by a small group of wine lovers who are passionate about New Zealand and its wines. Wines are from grapes grown on Waiheke Island and in Marlborough.

The winery complex at 12 Nick Johnstone Drive is the heart of Cable Bay Vineyards. Cable Bay Vineyards are a New Zealand company and the building reflects a relationship with the land and the sea.

Cable Bay Vineyards complex includes the Winery, Restaurant, Wine Bar, Tasting Room and The Motukaha Room, a private room for business meetings and private dinners, as well as the company’s administration. In the grounds surrounding the main building are working vineyards, olive groves and the vineyard office.

Restaurant

Head Chef William Thorpe prides himself on using fresh, local high quality produce and suppliers to create a seasonal menu using modern European techniques.

William Thorpe has been reviewed in Cuisine Magazine and Metro to name just two.

Wine

Neil Culley and Pete Turner are the creators of the following wines: Cable Bay Marlborough Gewürztraminer, Cable Bay Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc, Cable Bay Pinot Noir, Cable Bay Waiheke Island Chardonnay,, Cable Bay Waiheke Island Five Hills (Merlot/Malbec/Cabernet) and Cable Bay Waiheke Rosé.
