Opposite the Rocky Bay Store and at the heart of the Omiha (Rocky Bay) community, the Omiha Memorial Hall was redeveloped in the early 2000s. The community project revitalised plans from the mid-20th Century for the facade visible in the adjacent picture.

The hall was built in the 1930s by the Omiha Welfare and Recreation Society after the original structure on the site, which had been a store and dance hall, had been moved to Palm Beach and renamed Simkin House.

The Omiha Memorial Hall is known informally as the Rocky Bay Hall. It is used for local events such as parties, yoga classes and group meetings, as well as a popular stop for island-wide cultural events put on by such groups as the Waiheke Island Choral Society, the Festival Players, and the Rogues and Vagabonds.
