  • Mo-Fr 12-22 Jan from 10am-3pm: Artworks Youth Theatre Summer Programme. A school holiday workshop led by Grant Bridger and Sallie-Ann Stones and covering all aspects of theatre production, including acting, singing, dancing, props, set deisng and construction, costumes, makeup, publicity, front of house, lights & sound. Concluding with public performances of Pete the Barefoot Postman. Strictly limited to 30 children (9-14yo).   • Sunday 25th January 2009 - 10-6pm - Venue: Waiheke Sports Club - The Causeway - Ostend - Waiheke Island.The National Street Rod Association and Waiheke Sports Club with Waiheke Volunteer Coastguard PRESENTS - "Show & Shine" an event that has been running now for six years with over 55 custom and classic cars courtesy of the National Street Road Association and Waiheke Road and Custom Club come and take a car ride, bike ride, local bands including Leonie Perry, Muthurtung Duo, Plastic Paddies, Department of Corrections, Suite Wilma, Ben Kara, Swoon, Simon Johnson and more to be confirmed.   • Sa07Feb 7:30-9:30pm: Soul of the Ceilidh featuring Ronan Martin & Sandy Brechin (from Scotland): This compelling duo of fiddle and accordion bring the the energy of Scottish traditional music to the fore. Ronan and Sandy take their contemporary and lively sound to the Antipodes, bringing the soul of the ceilidh with them. Doors open at 7:00, and the café will be open.
