Onetangi is the last point of call for people before heading out into the Eastern End of Waiheke. Comprising of a couple of vineyards, a Shell Station, Liquor store and takeaways, Onetangi is also home to Waiheke's largest beach, Onetangi Beach and is a well frequented spot in the summer months.

The Onetangi Residents Association hall sits at the foot of Pohutukawa Reserve, owned by the association.

St Andrews by the Sea is an Anglican Church on Eden Terrace. Its garden cross was carved by Paora Te Rangiuia.

The Onetangi waterfront has two licensed bars and restaurants, currently (2007) trading as Charley Farley's and Cat's Tango.

Also on the waterfront is the Onetangi Beach Apartments, a group of individually-owned flats, also available for rent to the public..
