Wharf to Wharf Fun Run

An annual event featuring a run from Orapiu Wharf to Matiatia Wharf, the Wharf to Wharf is known among runners as New Zealand's toughest fun run. New Zealand ultra-distance champion and Waiheke resident Mark Bright is famed for having won it several times. In 2006, however, it was easily won by marathon runner and island journalist Scott Winton.
