Kennedy Point is the arrival point for vehicular ferries and other barges sailing to Waiheke. It is located at the end of Donald Bruce Road. Named after the famous Kennedy family, the bay was formerly known as Kennedys Bay and has a rich history. Kennedy Point is also the name for the small, adjacent suburb.
Ferry companies that land at KP (as locals call it) are Sealink and Waiheke Shipping.
The wharf is also the site for a boat ramp, nestled behind a long breakwater and complete with floating pontoon.
