The Waiheke Island Choral Society is one of three amateur vocal groups on Waiheke Island. The Society performs a wide variety of classical and popular choral music. Typical concerts and shows (from 2006-2007):

  • Mozart, Vespers (K.339), August 2006
  • Gilbert & Sullivan, Iolanthe, November 2006
  • Rodgers & Hammerstein, The King and I, August-September 2007

Rehearsals are normally at 7:30 PM every Tuesday at the Palm Beach Hall. Anyone interested in singing is welcome to join.

A recording of the Waiheke Choral Society and Waiheke choir Sister Shout performing Handel's Messiah was made by Waiheke Radio in December 2008. The live performance was recorded at St Peter's Church in Oneroa and broadcast on Christmas Eve and again on Christmas Day.
